RIFT takes its name from the East African Rift, the great valley where the earth pulled apart and, over millions of years, a shifting land shaped what made us human: the opposable thumb, speech, the step into something new.
It is the geography of change, of one thing becoming another. We chose it on purpose. RIFT is built as a break from traditional insurance software, not one more increment on the old model, but a shift in what a core platform can be.
These are our own photographs, taken at the edge of the valley in Kenya: the escarpment falling away into the plain and, at a viewpoint above it, a hand-painted map that traces the rift from the Red Sea all the way to Mozambique, 9,600 km in all. The place is real, and so is the change it stands for.
