A new partnership agreement between ASTF and Holos
A partnership agreement between the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) and Holos, S.A. for research cooperation has been signed.
The agreement was signed on 9 December 2015 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, between the Arab Science and Technology Foundation, represented by its President Dr. Abdallah Al Najar, and Holos, S.A., represented by Prof. João Paulo Pimentão as a member of the Board of Directors.
The agreement envisages the following objectives:
- Organise a series of events under the name "EU-GCC Collaboration Forum"
- Jointly participate in research and technological-development project calls
- Organise training courses on current technology subjects
The first event: Hyper-connected Society
The first event is planned for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 9-10 March 2016, and could be a starting point for a long-term collaboration between the European RTD Project Leaders (EPL) and the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF).
Holos, a European technology provider, is the European promoter, and ASTF is the strategic partner in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
