What a great season, Carnide! Another national title!

The 2014/2015 season will go down in the history of Carnide Clube Basquete (CC). It returned to national titles after 34 years! The last title dates back to the 1980/81 season in the Women's Senior Second Division.
After winning the Women's Under-19 National Cup, Carnide, two weeks later, was crowned National Champion again, this time in Women's Under-16.
We know that hard work and determination are the foundation of achieving results.
But in a single year, two district finals, three national finals and two national titles is quite an achievement. The national third place of our Senior team (National Championship, Women's Second Division) was also a moment of pride. A flawless season.
We now have more than 100 female athletes playing federated sport at the highest level, and we are investing in the future through mini-basketball. This is how young people are supported. This is how you learn to win, to lose and to respect your opponents.
A word to remember that clubs are no exception and, like companies, depend essentially on people, in this case: the coaches; the athletes; the parents and the directors. Without vision, projects, ambition and great dedication from everyone, clubs are doomed to wither, or to crystallise into uninspiring structures.
HOLOS is honoured to support this project, which grows stronger year after year. CC is already an essential club in the development of women's basketball in Portugal.
The "easier" part is done: causing a stir. The hard part, however, will be keeping up the pace.
Founded in 1920, CC has already known moments of glory. The real challenge now will be to ensure continuity.
Everything will depend on our ability to devote the current enthusiasm to the club. Always without forgetting youth development!
We want more for next season. For our part, we will be here. You can count on HOLOS!
Congratulations, girls. Come on, CC.
