Holos Receives SME Leader (PME Líder) 2012 Status

On 1 October 2012, Holos was awarded SME Leader (PME Líder) 2012 status by IAPMEI.

With this award, Holos sees recognition of its strategy of growth and of strengthening its competitive base through the effort it has put, since its foundation, into innovation and into bringing new products to market in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). These products have been placed with growing success on the international market.

The PME Líder status is a reputation seal for companies, created by IAPMEI to recognise the merit of national SMEs with superior performance. It is awarded in partnership with Turismo de Portugal and a group of Partner Banks, based on an assessment of the best rating scores and economic and financial indicators.

It should also be noted that the PME Líder status is awarded under the FINCRESCE Programme, which aims to raise the profile of, and improve the financing conditions for, companies with a superior risk profile that pursue strategies of growth and of strengthening their competitive base.

Founded in 1996, Holos, currently headquartered at the Centro Empresarial de Aveiro and with offices also at the Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia de Almada/Setúbal, grew out of a working group that had been involved in carrying out several research projects funded by the European Union.

This certification is another important step in pursuing the Holos mission, which is to contribute to the technological development of organisations by providing innovative products and services that improve access to information, support decisions and generate knowledge.
