Holos and cloud computing in “Semana Informática”

In the 18 March issue of Semana Informática, Helder Silva, a Holos director, answers some questions about Cloud Computing.

In an issue dedicated to Cloud Computing, presenting opinion pieces, news and interviews that represent both viewpoints of an implementation of this kind, that of the client and that of the supplier/implementer, Holos is cited as one of the national companies with experience in implementing this type of solution, especially with regard to Google Apps and Postini solutions.

In his interview, Hélder Silva mentions, beyond the operational advantages that result from an implementation of this kind, the potential added value both in financial terms and in terms of quality of Service.

He states that this type of approach often proves to be “a definitive solution to recurring problems, such as access to emails and other critical data, information security, anti-spam protection, and the maintenance of in-house data centres, among others”, while at the same time allowing the companies that adopt them “cost reductions that vary between 40% and 60% compared with traditional solutions, and further added value through disaster & recovery services”.
