The Óbidos Literary Village, an initiative that Holos is supporting since its inception, will be the venue of Óbidos International Literary Festival (named FOLIO).
FOLIO was presented on July 7th, 2015, at a press conference held at the emblematic café Martinho da Arcada in Lisbon.
In a session coordinated by the Mayor of Óbidos, Humberto da Silva Marques, and graced with the presence of Their Excellencies the Minister of Culture of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Juca Ferreira, and the Secretary of State for Culture of Portugal, Jorge Barreto Xavier, presentations were made by the author José Eduardo Agualusa and the representative of the Regional Coordination Commission for the Central Region, Jorge Brandão.
With the presence of more than 50 portuguese writers, FOLIO will stage initiatives, in addition to book presentations and discussions with authors, that will include music, theater, performances, films, gatherings, round tables, exhibitions and training, for instance.
The organization of FOLIO focuses on five chapters that promote these activities: FOLIO Authors, FOLIO Folia, FOLIO Educa, FOLIO Tech and FOLIO Paralelo.
Similar to what has been made to promote the Óbidos Literary Village initiative, Holos, joins with and supports this initiative.
